Perea Cemetery

Return to Bernalillo Cemetery Page

This cemetery lies east of Our Lady of Sorrows Church between the railroad tracks and the ditch. The following photographs were taken by Roger Alt in January of 1978. Martha Liebert, Sandoval County Historian, transcribed the epitaphs from the stones. Because of vandalism, almost nothing is left of these handsome markers. (Photographs are not shown here.)  Bernalillo County; NMG XXXIII, NO. 4, December 1994; Project is based on the cemetery surveys published in the New Mexico Genealogist, The Journal of the New Mexico Genealogical Society. P.O. Box 8283; Albuquerque, NM 87198-8283. The magazine's volume, date, and and page number is displayed under the cemetery's name.
