ARMAGNAC
Alamogordo
Relatives were notified today of the death in a vehicle accident in France of
Lt. Alex Armagnac, son of a pioneer Alamogordo family and a graduate of New
Mexico Military Institute. Lieut. Armagnac, about two weeks ago was cited for
capturing a German major and captain and 80 soldiers at the point of a machine
gun in France. He was the son of the late Alex Armagnac and a grandson of the
late R. Baldanado, early day resident here. His widow small son and mother
survive.

HUDSPETH
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hudseth are leaving today for Henrietta, OK., to attend the
funeral services of their son-in-law, Capt. Wm. Sites, who was killed in a plane
crash at La Junta, CA. Oct. 11. Mrs. Sites is the former Ferne Hudspeth of Las
Cruces. She was living with her husband in La Junta.

Oct. 17, 1944
CAMUREZ
Frank Camurez of Chamberino, about 55, died on a ranch at Mr. Riley late
yesterday from a heart attack. Sheriff Santos Ramirez reported today. Sheriff
Ramirez accompanied by Peace Justice B. G. Chavez and a coroner's jury drove to
a telegram disclosing the death and investigated the case.
