HOSTBJOR
Las Cruces resident Aslaug Hostbjor, 71 died Thursday at her home. She was a
former teacher. Services are pending at Getz Funeral Home.

MOORE
Mesill Park resident William Comer Moore, 70 died Friday at Memorial Medical
Center. He was a re-set specialist with Schwan Food Co. and was the assistant to
the chairman of the Navajo Tribe in New Mexico during the 1970's. He was also a
member of the Elks, Moose and Eagles fraternities.
A graveside funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hillcrest Memorial
Garden Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Lula TODD MOORE; son, Jim MOORE of Mesquite;
daughters; Belva Lou LOPEZ of Florence, AZ., Dianna KRAMER of Tucson and Billie
KNIGHT of Silver City; sister, Peggy HOLDEN of Carrizozo; brother, Paul MOORE of
Oroville, CA., eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are
by Graham Mortuary.
TAYLOR
Las Cruces resident Anita Darlene TAYLOR, 49 died Tuesday at her home. She was
an active member of Temple Beth-El, both in the Sisterhood Board and as
chairperson of the Kitchen Committee. Funeral services were held Thursday at
Graham Mortuary and burial followed at Masonic Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin TAYLOR; son, Melvin TAYLOR the third of
Las Cruces; daughter, Rebecca KERSHAW of Las Cruces; foster daughter, Dixie Sue
HATCHER of Roxboro, N, C., sisters, Sharon WALKER of Las Cruces, Diane GRONDIS
of Bodfish, CA., and Debby SULLIVAN of Dallas; brother, James JENNINGS of Santa
Teresa; father and stepmother, James and Elizabeth JENNINGS of Alamogordo;
grandmothers, Rosie COLE of Las Cruces and Lenore MC ALPINE of El Paso; three
grandchildren, and two foster grandchildren. Graham Mortuary.

GRELLE
Deming resident Edith Emily PACKARD GRELLE, 52, died Friday at Mimbres Memorial
Hospital. She had done extensive work in the Roman Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Cremation will follow at Baca's Mimbres Crematory. Private burial will be at a
later date at Our Lady of the Desert Mausoleum in Tucson. She is survived by her
husband, Arthur GRELLE of Deming. Baca's Funeral Chapel in Deming.

DURAN
La Union resident Andrea V. DURAN, 76, died Saturday at Providence Memorial
Hospital in El Paso. Services are pending at Getz Funeral Home.

Las Cruces resident Edgar A. REYNOLDS, 73 died Sunday at Mountain Shadow Health
Care Center. Services are pending at Baca's Funeral Chapel.
GRIMM
Las Cruces resident Richard E. GRIMM, 69 died Monday at his home. Services are
pending at Baca's Funeral Chapel.
AMAYA
Las Cruces resident Carmen AMAYA, 77 died Sunday at her daughter's home in
Waterloo, Iowa. She was a homemaker. Services are pending at Getz Funeral Home.
DAY
Las Cruces resident Charles A. DAY, 72, died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center.
He was a pharmacist and the owner of Day's Hallmark in Las Cruces. Funeral
services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Getz Funeral Home followed by burial at
Hillcrest Memorial Garden Cemetery.
LUCERO
Las Cruces resident Erminda L. LUCERO, 78, died Sunday at Mountain Shadows
Health Care Center. She was a retired supply worker at Memorial Medical Center.
Visitation will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral services
will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at San Albino Catholic church followed by burial at
San Albino Catholic Cemetery. She is survived by sons, Jaime LUCERO of Las
Cruces and A. Conrad LUCERO of Albuquerque; and three grandchildren.
BALL
Las Cruces resident June L. BALL, 90, died Thursday at Memorial Medical Center.
She was a homemaker. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at 3 p.m. today
at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. She is survived by sons, James COLEMAN of
Riverside, CA., and Ken BALL of Tempe, AZ., eight grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren. Getz Funeral Home.

JOZSY
Deming resident Edward P. JOZSY, 69 died Monday at Memorial Medical Center. He
was a World War 2 veteran. Cremation has taken place by Baca's Mimbres Crematory
and burial will be at 2 p.m. today at Mountain View Cemetery. Baca's Funeral
Chapel.
SWEETEN
Deming resident Samuel E. SWEETEN, 89, died Friday at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.
He was a farmer, a member of the Baptist Church and also had worked for the Rio
Grande Natural Gas Co. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the
funeral home with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia SWEETEN of Deming; sons, Eccart Ray SWEETEN
of Escalon, CA., Gary Lee SWEETEN of Waterford, CA.,; daughters Jean SMITH of El
Paso, Evelyn BROWN of Hilmar, CA., and Mary Lou HODDER of Deming; sister, Syble
HILL of Sulfur, OK., 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Deming resident Pliny Albert trUE, 78 died Sunday at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired finish carpenter, a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of
the Carpenter's Union in St. Paul, Minn.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Baca's Funeral Chapel. Funeral
services will be at noon Wednesday at the funeral chapel with burial to follow
at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret trUE of Deming; son, Mark trUE of
Robbinsdale, Minn; daughters; Beverly DAILEY of St. Paul, Jonell HANSON of
Orange City, FL., and Victoria trUE of Dickinson, N.D.; brother, Paul trUE of
Emily, Minn; and four grandchildren.
