Willard H. Arnold
Dec 23, 1892 - Dec 4, 1915
Willard Arnold was the son of Isaac
and Josephine McFarland Arnold. Isaac was born in
Ohio in 1861 to Israel and Mary Hill Arnold, married
to Josephine McFarland in 1888 Burnet Co., Texas;
daughter of James and Maria
Scott McFarland.
Isaac and Josephine were the parents of three sons
in addition to Willard:
Homan I. born in 1890, Frederick Hill born in 1896,
and Paul Hunter born about 1902. All were born in
Texas.
The Arnold family is shown in the 1910 Animas
Station, Grant Co., NM census with Isaac self
employed as an inventor.
The family remained there at least until 1917, when
the eldest of the boys registered for the WWI draft.
Homan was raising goats for Mohair and mutton, and
Fred worked on a ranch.
By 1920, the family had relocated to Tucson, AZ,
with the exception of Homan, who by that time was in
El Paso, TX, where he remained with wife Ruth, until
his death in 1971. Fred married Bonnie and had one
daughter, Paul
married Elizabeth Wall and had one daughter as well.
Where they died is unknown.
Isaac and Josephine Arnold both died in Tucson; he
on 4 October 1927 and she 12 November 1932.
This
cemetery has one grave with a marker. It has several
unmarked graves.
