Following is part 5 of the 1914 and 1915 Obits as found in the La Revista De Taos, New Mexico News Papers.

173- Salome Garduno Age 19 of Arroyo Hondo, NM. Died at 2:00 AM 10 July 1915. She died of Tisis (Tuberculosis) that she suffered with for more than a year. Survived by Parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Names not listed.

174- Pedro Jose Gallegos Age 83 of Truchas, NM. Died 19 July 1915. He married Maria Dolores Vigil 7 Nov 1870. She died 8 Sept 1898. He was a civil war veteran serving in the military during the 1860 war. He was Justice of The Peace for the Chimayo precinct in 1874, Representative to the State Legislation in 1875, Commissioner of Nuestra Senora de Rosario, San Fernando y Santiago Land Grant, when it was confirmed by the Land Grant Court in 1892. Commissioner of the Acequias in 1904 and lawyer in the Justice of The Peace Courts. Survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter and 1 brother. Names not listed.

175- July 24, 1915 in Chicago, Ill. an East Land ship (boat) carrying an estimated 2500 people, employees of Western Electric Co. their families and other passengers sank at the dock in the Chicago river. 7 hours later police reports they've recovered 679 bodies. They estimate 1200 men, women and children may have perished. By monday evening 810 bodies have been recovered.

176- Adelaida Valdez de Herrera Age 25 of El Prado, NM. Died 24 July 1915. Wife of Samuel de Herrera. Daughter of Pablo Garcia.

177- Gaspar Martinez Age 28 of La Corillera, NM. Died 29 July 1915. Survived by wife Andrea S. de Martinez and 4 children. Names not listed. He was a son-in-law of Isidoro Santistevan.

178- Manuelita Romero Age 20 of Las Truchas, NM. Died 10 July 1915 at 6:00 PM. Survived by siblings Miguel A. Romero, Trinidad Romero and Rosarito Romero; Son  Agustin Romero.

179- Maria Manuela de Los Reyes Cardenas de Hernandez Age 74 years and 4 months of Ojo Caliente, NM, former Taos resident. Died 5 Aug 1915 at 11:00 PM. She lived in Taos, NM until 1895 when a son Carlos took her to live near him in Ojo Caliente, NM. Survived by sons Jesus Hernandez of El Paso, TX., Benigno Hernandez Congressional Representative, Carlos and Federico Hernandez; Daughter Sister Loyola of Loretto Convent in Santa Fe, NM. Brother Andres Cardenas of El Prado, NM.

180- Jose Cortes Age 22 of Canones, NM. Died 3 Aug 1915 at 3:00 PM. Survived by Parents Francisco Cortes and Braulia Gallegos; Wife Senaida S. de Cortes.

181- Leonor Vigil Age 27 of El Rito, NM. Died 8 Aug 1915 at 11:50 AM. Daughter of Jesus Maria Vigil and the now deceased Maria Antonia Chaves; 4 brothers including Andronicio Vigil, whom she lived with and helped her until the last minute of her life.

182- Beatrize T. de Velasquez Age 22 of El Valle, NM. Died 20 Aug 1915. Survived by husband Manuel A. Velasquez; Parents Jose V. Tafoya and Seferina R. de Tafoya; Father-in-law Salome Velasquez; 3 children Canuto, Elisaida and Juan Amadeo Velasquez.

183- Felipita Martinez of Dixon, NM. Died 22 Aug 1915 at 4:00 PM. Survived by 4 siblings Soledad De Herrera, Narciso, Francisco and Siria de Romero; 4 sons. Names not listed.

184- Delfina Cordova Age 1 year and 4 months of Truchas, NM. Died 31 Aug 1915 at 2:30 PM. Survived by Ignacito Cordova and R. de Cordova and a brother.

185- Socorro Sandoval Age 51 of Taos, NM. Died 2 Oct 1915 4:00 PM. She was born 15 April 1964. Married Abran Sandoval  13 May 1892. Survived by husband, 5 sisters and 2 brothers. She died as a result of Paralis  (Paralysis) that she suffered with for 5 years.

186- Manuel Montoya Age 67 of Truchas, NM. Died 9 Sept 1915. Survived by mother Encarnacion Vigil de Montoya, 3 sons and 1 daughter. Names not listed.

187- Deterio Arturo Trujillo 9 months and 16 days of Black Lake, NM. Died 20 Sept 1915. Survived by parents Eduardo Trujillo and Eligia S. Trujillo; Grandparents Macario Trujillo and Ernea S. Trujillo.

188- Jose de La Luz Fernandez of Truchas, NM. Date of death not listed. Death notice dated 8 Oct 1915. Died of Scarlet Fever that he suffered with for 3 months. Survived by wife Rosario R. de Fernandez. Buried in Las Truchas Cemetery.

189- Carmelita Trujillo Age 25 of Taos, NM. Died Monday morning (date not listed). Survived by parents Antonio Trujillo and Eleonor Montano de Trujillo. News paper edition dated Fri 15 Oct 1915.

190- Mrs. H. F. Dunn Age 84 of Taos, NM. Died Thursday last week. News paper edition dated Fri 15 Oct 1915. Mother of John and Joe Dunn.

191- Rose Segura de Blea Age 25 of San Jose near Rivera, NM. Was shot an killed by Clemente Segura Age 45 between 11 and 12 noon 7 Oct 1915. Rosa Segura de Blea was visiting in the house of her neighbor, when Clemente Segura came into the house and with our saying a word shot her 3 times killing her instantly. He then placed the pistol to his right temple and shot him self also dying immediately. She is survived by husband Cleofas Blea, 2 children 2 and 6 years old; Father Perfecto Segura; Brothers Regino, Jesus, Manuel and Francisco Segura; First cousin Roman Gallegos Sheriff of this County. Name of county not listed.

192- J. Branson resident of the Taos, NM valley. Died last thursday in Rio Pueblo, NM. He was employed by the Santa Barbara Pole and Tie Co. He was coming down hill in a wagon that was full of lumber (Ties) he did not put the brakes on until he started his descent and when he tried to brake he fell off the wagon along with the heavy load of lumber which fell on him killing him instantly. He is survived by 2 daughters that live in the state of Calif. He was buried in the Kit Carson Cemetery Taos, NM. Date of News paper edition Fri 29 Oct 1915.

193- Preciliano Cardenas Age 10 of El Prado, NM. Died at 12:30 last saturday. He slipped and fell off the wagon he was riding as it came down a small hill by the school house on the way to his home. The wheel ran over his head killing him instantly. Father Luciano Cardenas.

194- Jose Asencion Martinez Age 64 of Chimayo, NM. Ded 6 Oct 1915. Survived by wife Maria Victoria Ortiz de Martinez; 2 daughters,4 sons, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Names not listed. Funeral services in the Chapel of Nuestro Senor de Esquipula and buried in the cemetery of said chapel.

195- Alcario Lucero of Pina, NM. Died 4 Nov 1915 at 1:00 PM. He was born in San Antonio Plaza Taos, NM 15 April 1855. In 1876 he married Julianita Miera. They had 1 son and 3 daughters. Names not listed.

196- Eduardo Trujillo Age 28 of Black Lake, NM. Died 18 Nov 1915 at 10:00 PM. Survived by wife Eligia S. Trujillo, 5 year old son and 7 year old daughter; Parents Macario Trujillo and Erinea S. Trujillo.

197- Rita Lopez Age 85 of Valdez, NM. Died 17 Nov 1915. Survived by daughter Benigna M. Martinez.

198- Ramoncita Garcia de Lopes of Roy, NM. Died 14 Nov 1915 at 4:00 AM. Survived by husband Juan de Dios Lopez; Daughters Genara and Benigna Gallegos; Mother Luisita de Gallegos de Garcia.

199- Isabel Velasquez de Torres Age 20 years and 16 days of Tierra Amarilla, NM. Died 23 Nov 1915 at 6:00 AM. Born in Tierra Amarilla, NM 26 Oct 1895. Daughter of Jesus Maria Velasquez and Jesusita S. de Velasquez. Married Ignacio Torres 28 Sept 1914.

200- Manuel M. y Roybal Age 68 of Dixon, NM. Died 28 Oct 1915 at 8:00 PM of Fiebre (Fever) pneumonia. Survived by Seferina M. Martinez, 2 sons and 1 brother.

201- Anita Smith of Corrumpa, NM. Wife of Patricio Romero, they had gone to spend the Christmas Holidays with her parents Abran Smith and Petrita de Smith in their home in Penasco, NM. Soon after she got sick with a cold that turned into Fever Pneumonia. Dr. Martin of Taos, NM was called. He went to Penasco, NM and decided to bring her to his home in Taos for treatment. A few minutes after they arrived at the Martins residence she gave birth to a son that died a few hours later. The fever was so bad that it caused her death. Survived by Parents, husband and a 3 year old son. Date of news paper edition Fri 24 Dec 1915.

202- Maria Getrudes Cortes Age 61 of Corillera de Ranchos de Taos, NM. Died 7 Dec 1915 at 1:00 PM. Survived by 2 brothers. Names not listed.

203- Teresita Pacheco Age 2 years and 7 months of Arroyo Seco, NM. Died 11 Dec 1915 at 4:00 PM. Survived by parents Jose Eulogio Pacheco and wife name not listed.

204- Santita Tafoya de Romero Age 26 of Talpa, NM. Died 12 Dec 1915. Survived by husband Vicente F. Romo; Children Clorinda, Felpe and Bersabe Romo.

205- Jose Albino Salazar Age 1 year and 3 months of Dixon, NM. Died 3 Dec 1915 at 10:00 PM. Survived by parents Felez Salazar and Antonia de salazar. Grandparents Ezequiel Maestas and Juanita de Maestas.

206- Josefita A. Gurule of Ranchos de Taos, NM. Died Sunday 5 Dec 1915. Born in Ranchos de Taos, NM in 1837. Married Albino Apodaca, now deceased. Survived by Casimiro Apodaca; Daughters Mrs. Jose Jesus Martinez and Mrs. Bernardo Montoya.

207- Jose Toribio Vigil Age 87 of Rio Arriba County NM. Died 20 Nov 1915. He was born in Canoa, Rio Arriba County, NM in 1828. He was a veteran of the civil war, enlisting in 1860 for 3 years he served with honor. Survived by children Manuel de Jesus Vigil, Pablita V. de Sanchez, Balbina Vigil and Antonio Vigil.

208- Jose Francisco Trujillo of Cimmaron, NM. Died 23 Dec 1915. Survived by wife Barbarita Trujillo; 5 sons, 3 daughters and 5 brothers. Names not listed.

209- Francisco Garcia y Fernandez of Ranchos de Taos, NM. Died 13 Dec 1915 at 7:00 PM. He was born in 1847. Survived by wife Maria Luz G. Garcia; sons Rumaldo, Pascual, Jose and Feliberto Fernandez; 3 daughters names not listed.
