181- Piedad Vigil of Aguilar, Colo. Wife of Nicanor M. Vigil died 25 Jan 1912. She was born in Pena Flor, NM 5 Oct 1883. Daughter of Jose de La Luz Bargas and Raymunda R. Bargas. From there she went to El Moro, Colo and later to El Valle de Apishapa County Colorado. She married Nicanor M. Vigil 5 Oct 1899. Children Ida, Luisita, Anita, Amarante, and Rosita Vigil. Who are to young to fully understand the great loss that they have suffered.

182- Hilaria Vigil Age 3 years, 3 months and 11 days of Wagon Mound, NM. Died 26 Jan 1912 at 10:00 AM. Daughter of Lazaro Vigil and Josefita T. de Vigil. Grandparents Ramon Trujillo and Maria Ascencion M. Trujillo and M. Trujillo and Teodorita Vigil. Shed died of Sarampion and Fibre (Rubeola/Measles Fever).

183- Hipolita T. de Trujillo of Taos, NM. Died 11 Jan 1912 at 5:30 AM. Born in Rayada Colfax County NM 13 Aug 1863. She married Ruperto H. Trujillo 29 Nov 1881, and in 1882 they moved to Taos, NM.Survived by her husband; Brother Abram Trujillo, 3 sons and 5 daughters.

184- A. J. Dorsey of Taos, NM. Died last saturday. He was the father in law of Dr. Cook of Taos, NM.

185 Candelaria Gabaldon of Artesia, NM sufferred burns on the 15th day of Feb and died the next day 16 Feb 1912. She was to have been married 18 Feb 1912. She was modeling her wedding dress and veil in a room where some kids were playing near her, one lit a match and her veil and dress caught on fire, frightened she ran causing burns to her body so severely that she died next day the 16 of Feb 1912.

186- Robert Manchego Age 26 of Costilla, NM. Died 19 Feb 1912 10:00 PM. He was born 7 May 1886 in Costilla, Colo. He married Genoveva T de Manchego in 1907. He was well educated. He graduated from the Internation College in Utah at the age of 20. He became a school teacher in the Taos County, NM School system. He is survived by his wife, 3 year old daughter, parents, 2 brothers and 7 sisters.

187- Perfecta Martinez de Aragon Age 48 of Canon del Rio Puerco, NM. Died in her home 23 Feb 1912. She sufferred from some type of Paralysis for 25 days. Survived by her husband Antonio Aranda and 3 sons.

188- Antonio de Jesus Archuleta Age 90 of Alcalde, NM. Died in her residence 17 Feb 1912 at 8:00 PM. Survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter.

189- Cesario Cordoba Age 4 years, 2 months and 5 days of Taos, NM. Died 3 March 1912. Son of J. D. Cordoba and Erminia Armijo de Cordova.

190- Alejandro Romero of Trinidad, Co. Died 19 Feb 1912. Survived by 2 daughters and 4 sons. No names listed.

191- Pablo Lucero Age 76 died in Las Vegas, NM. He had resided in his ranch near Chapelle San Miguel County, NM. He went to Las Vegas, NM when he fell ill a few months ago. He was one of the ancient freighters in the southwest. He is the father of Antonio Lucero who serves as the New Mexico State Secretary. He is also survived by his other children, Bonifacio Lucero of Santa Rosa, NM, Eloy Lucero of Albuq.NM, Francisco Lucero of Las Vegas, NM and Mrs. P. Delgado of Las Vegas, NM. Buried in El Monte Calvario Cemetery.
192- Estevan Mascarenas Age 18 of Guadalupita, NM. Died 27 Feb 1912. Survived by his mother Doloritas Cordova and 2 brothers. No names listed.

193- Casimiro Barela Age 11 months and 23 days of Beeham, NM. Died 23 Feb 1912 at 11:00 AM. Survived by his parents. Names no listed.

194- Luis Vigil Age 57 of Chico, NM. Died 25 Feb 1912. He froze to death near his camp when he went to feed his livestock. While he was out there a great storm of wind and snow hit. He was caught away from his camp or any shelter. He was found 27 Feb 1912. Survived by 2 brothers Manuel Salazar from here and Jose Acasio Archuleta of Ocate, NM.

195- Maria Fidelia de Blance Age 27 years, 10 months and 4 days of Garita, Colo. Died 5 Feb 1912. She was born at Conejos County Colo 1 April 1884. In 1896 she married Salvador Maes. She was the daughter of Jose De La Luz Blance and Petrita de Blance. Survived by her husband, 4 daughters and a son.

196- Elias Telesfor Marquez Age 1 year, 1 months and 2 days of Corrumpa, NM. Died 25 Feb 1912 at 2:00 PM. Son of Juan B. Marquez and Josefita de Marquez.

197- Josefita Clouthier Age 3 years 1 month of Taos, NM. Died Sunday morning. She was the daughter of Bovian Clouthier and Ana Simpson de Clouthier.

198- Jose Encarnacion of Talpa, NM. Died in Taos, NM Thursday Last week where he was at the time trying to sell a wagon load of wood. He died of Pneumonia.

199- Epifanio Salazar Age 14 years, 10 months and 24 days of Bueyeros, NM. No date of death listed. Date of funeral 3 march 1912. Son of Rufino Salazar and Josefita Garcia, other survivors 5 Sisters and 1 Brother. No names listed.

200- Soledad Casias Montoya Age 65 of Lucero, NM. Died 26 Feb 9:30 PM. He was buried in the Montoyas Cemetery in Lucero, NM.

201- Jose De La Luz Archuleta Age 30 of Cerro, NM. Died 1 March 1912 at 10:00 AM. Survived by his wife Maria Celestina M. de Archuleta and parents. No names listed.

202- Sipriano Ortega Age 46 of Pina, NM. Died 27 Feb 1912. Survived by his wife Maria Dela Luz Ortega, 5 sons and 3 daughters.

203- Maggie Oakeley Age 10 years, 1 month and 14 days of Taos, NM. Died of Hidropesia (Edema) at 1:00 PM Monday 25 March 1912. Daughter of Richard Oakeley and Dionicita de Oakeley.

204- Blas Salazar of Ranchos de Taos, NM Died at his residence 25 March 1912.

205- Floripa Lovato Age 18 of Bueyeros, NM. Died 13 March 1912 at child birth. Survived by husband Agustin Salazar; Parents in law Apolinio Salazar and Dorotea Padilla de Salazar; Brother Filadelfio Lovato.

206- Vicente F. Roybal Age 35 of Ildelfonso, NM. Died 19 March 1912. Survived by wife Bersabela Roybal and 3 daughters.

207- Jose Pedro Duran Age 61 of El Rito, NM. Died 17 March 1912 at 8:30 AM of Heart problems. Survived by his wife and 5 sisters. No names listed.

208- Isabelita Cordova Age 11 years and 8 months of El Rito, NM. Died Sunday 10 March 1912 at 2:00 AM. Survived by parents Cristobal Cordova and Silvera Cordoba and 1 brother.

209- Adelina Blanco Age 9 years, 10 months and 5 days of Dixon, NM. No parents or date of death listed.

210- The youth Telesforo Trujillo of Talpa, NM. Died Tuesday. He was injuried and killed by some horses that became frightened. Son of Encarnacion Trujillo and wife. Name not listed.

211- Antonio Jose Reyno 118 years old. Born in Taos, NM in 1794 of Gallegos, NM. Indian Navajo got lost in the freezing snowy weather that occurred in Union County, NM. He was found still alive and taken home but he died as a result of his ordeals. He was a cook at Watrous Mora County NM. He later worked with Jose T. Martinez of Union County, NM. It has been 13 years that he's lived in Gallegos, NM.

212- Trevino Graham of Taos, NM. Died at Palo Blanco, NM 25 March 1912, where he had been employed for 18 months. Son of Donaciano Graham and Viviana T. Graham. Wife Adelia T. Graham 4 sons and 2 daughters.

213- Estevan Mascarenas Age 16 of Las Animas County Colo. Died 27 Feb 1912. Survived by parents: Pedro Mascarenas mothers name not listed.

214- Ana Maria G. de Salazar Age 21 of Abiquiu, NM. Died 28 Feb 1912. Survived by husband, a 3 year old child and a 4 year old child. Names not listed.

215- In Memory of Ramon Medina Cura from Penasco, NM. Who died 19 April 1911 in Penasco, NM. Survived by Brother Andres Medina; Nephews Daniel, Ramon, Facundo and Jose Dolores Medina; Niece Virginia Medina de Sanchez.

216- Jose Dolores Vigil Age 16 of Bueyeros, NM. Died at Home 16 April 1912 of Hidropsea (Edema). Survived by Mother Lupita Angel de Vigil and 3 sisters.

217- Irene Cardenas de Naranjo Age 19 of El Prado, NM. Died 27 April 1912 at 12:00 AM. Survived by parents Andres Cardenas and Juanita M. de Cardenas. Husband Amadio Naranjo. She was born in El Prado, NM 3 April 1893.

218- Maria Lorenza M. Griego Age 54 of La Madera Rio Arriba County, NM. Died 23 April 1912 of Hidropesia (Edema). Survived by husband Antonio S. Griego; Son Jose y. Greigo and daughter Selestina Griego.

219- Antonia R. Salazar Age 25 years, 2 months and 6 days of Rincona, NM. Died 14 April 1910. Survived by husband Victor Salazar; Mother Manuelita M. Roybal and a daughter. No name listed.

220- Fidelia Rivera Age 31 of Santa Cruz Rio Arriba County NM.Died 19 April 1912. Survived by Husband Luis Maes 3 sons and 2 daughters. 3 brothers. Names not listed.

221- Dolores Chavez Age 20 of El Prado, NM. Died Saturday 4 April 1912. Survived by husband Flavio Abila.; Daughters 2 years old and 1 recently born; Father Jesus Maria Chavez.

222- Eleonor Sisneros de Martinez Age 60 of Grande, NM. Died Saturday 26 April 1912 1:00 AM. Survived by husband Nestor Martinez y Gonzales; Sons Tobias, Liocadio and Jose Maria Martinez; Daughters Eligia Martinez and Ascencion Martinez de Arguello. Buried in Folsom, NM.

223- Cornelio Medina Age 19 of San Cristoval, NM. Died 3 May 1917. Survived by parents Bernardo Medina and Maria Guadalupe M. de Medina, 2 sons and 1 daughters

224- Teofila G. de Arguello Age 38 of Guadalupita, NM. Died 29 April 1912. Survived by husband Jose D. Arguello and 3 children.

225- Maximio Medina Age 2 months and 14 days of San Cristobal, NM. Died 8 May 1912. Survived by parents Fermin Medina and Delfina S. Medina.

226- Maria Josefita Gallegos of San Antonio, Colo. Died 28 April 1912 at 10:00 AM. Survived by husband Bernardo Gallegos; 4 sons and 2 daughters; Father Cresencio Espinosa; Grandmother Maria Juana.

227- Jose Antonio Vargas of Vallecitos, NM. Died 7 May 1912. He was crossing the river in his horse drawn wagon. The strong current knocked down the horses and overturned the wagon. He unhitched the horses to help them get upright, his feet became tangled in the rigging dragging him under the water and down river. He drowned before any one could render him any assistance. He is survived by his wife, 4 daughters and 1 son. Names not listed.

228- Sister Casilda White, Mother Superior of the Loreto convent San Jose of Taos, NM. Died Monday 12 May 1912 at 2:00 AM of heart disease. She belonged to the order of Loreto. Sisters William Ann and Angelica heard a small moan coming from Sister Casilda, when the approached her they found she was unresponsive and dying. The San Jose Convent School has educated over 300 Taos area boys and girls. He body was taken to Santa Fe, NM for the funeral and burial.

229- Antonio Faustin Trujillo Age 5 years and months of Ranchitos, NM. Died Last Friday at 11:00 AM of Pneumonia. He was the son of Juan B. Trujillo and Luisita Maestas de Trujillo. Grandson of Faustin Trujillo.

230- Pilar Gonzales Age 21 years, 7 months and 27 days of Pina, NM. Died 9 May 1912 at 3:00 AM.Survived by parents Agapito Gonzales and Soledad R. de Gonzales, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

231- Francisquita G. de Valdez Age 27 years, 11 months and 6 days of Pina, NM. Died 12 May 1912 at 1:30 PM. Survived by husband Severo A. Valdez; Parents Higinio Gonzales and Maria Jesusita de Gonzales. 3 children ages between 4 and 8 years old.

232- Merencina Tafoya Age 2 years, 8 months residing temporarily in Los Sauces, Colo. Died 18 May 1912. Parents Jose Vidal Tafoya and Agustina M. Tafoya.

233- Jesusita L. Gomez Age 63 years, 3 months and 17 days of Ranchitos de Taos, NM. Died 16 May 1912 she suffered with Pneumonia. She is survived by her mother Julianita Vigil de Lujan and adopted son Pablo V. Gomez.

234- Antonio Jose Arellano Age 69 of Costilla, NM. Died 13 May 1912 at 10:00 AM. Survived by wife, 4 sons and 1 daughter. Names not listed.

235- Urcinia M. de Trujillo Age 29 of Ranchos de Taos, NM. Died 11 May 1912 at 12 midnight. Born in Ranchos de Taos, NM 24 May 1886. Survived by husband Antonio A. Trujillo. 2 daughters one 4 years old and the other 16 days. Parents Julian Martinez and Rosita G. de Martinez and 3 sisters.

236- Facunda Dominguez of Truchas Rio Arriba County, NM, Died 30 May 1912. Survived by Parents Lucas Dominguez and Benigina Arguello. Husband Pedro A. Dominguez, 4 children and 6 adopted children.

237- Cordilia Vargas Age 2 years and 3 months of Park View Tierra Amarilla Rio Arriba County. Died 6 May 1912. Daughter of Elizardo Vargas and Rayitos U. de Vargas.

238- Josefita M. Martinez Age 28 of Holland, NM. Died 27 May 1912. Survived by husband J. Canuto Martinez, 5 children; Mother Juanita Herrera, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

239- Sofia Romero de Helpenstine Age 42 years 7 months and 1 day of Taos, NM. Died monday (2 may 1912) at 3:00 PM. She died of lung problems aggravated by the abandonment of her husband, Oliver Helphenstine of her and their 7 children, 2 sons and 5 daughters living in misery. She was buried in Taos, NM in the American Cemetery.

240- Ascencion Romero Age 69 of El Prado, NM. Died of Hidropesa ( Edema) Tuesday 4 June 1912 at 7:00 PM at her granddaughter Raquel Martinez' house. Survived by 1 grand daughter and 2 grandsons.

241- Piedad L. Vasquez Age 48 years, 3 months and 10 days of Ojo Caliente, NM. Died 10 June 1912. Survived by husband Lucas Vasquez and her mother Juanita M. Lucero.

242- Rumaldo Garcia of Arroyo Seco, NM. Died Monday of this week.News papers edition Friday 21 June 1912.

243- Francisca Vigil Age 58 of Llano, NM. Died 16 June 1912 of Hidropesia (Edema). Survived by sons Gabino Vigil of Ponil Park, NM, Pedro Vigil and Pascualita Vigil. Father Pedro Antonio Suazo and 6 brothers.

244- Manuel Chacon Age 64 of Ranchitos de Abajo Taos, NM. Died 13 June 1912 at 3:00 AM. Survived by wife name not listed and children Juana and Epimenio Chacon.

245- J. Silas Vigil Age 35 of Ranchos de Taos, NM. Died accidently in Pueblo, Colo 5 June 1912. Survived by wife Benigna de Vigil and 5 children. Parents Julio Vigil and Salome Sanchez de Vigil.; Brothers J. J. Vigil and Anastacio Vigil; sisters Manuela V. de Montoya and Piedad V. Casias.

246- Blas Lucero of Ranchitos, NM. Died at his residence 19 June 1912 at 10:00 PM. He was born in San Miguel County NM in 1847. Son of Antonio Jose Lucero and Demetria Romero de Lucero, both deceased. He was a nephew of the Presbiterio Cura Antonio Jose Martinez.

247- Samuel Garcia Age 8 months and 24 days of Corrumpa, NM. Died 6 June 1912. Son of Fernando Garcia and Margarita Fernandez de Garcia.

248- Federico Romero Age 30 of Taos, NM died as a result of an accident in Trinchera, Colo. Survived by Wife, 2 children, 3 brothers and 2 sisiters. Names and type of accident not noted.

249- Damaciano Garcia age 72 of Arroyo Hondo, NM. Died 2 July 1912. He was married twice. Children from his first marriage are: Rafael, Aban, Jose Antonio and Ricardo Garcia, from his second marriage Cruz, Eleonor, Juan, Amalia, Teofila, Samuel, Santiago and Vernabe Garcia. Second wife Manuela A. de Garcia.

250- J. R. De La Paz Naranjo Age 77 of Guadalupita, NM. Died 5 July 1912. Survived by his children. Names not mentioned.

251- Juan B. Rael Age 65 of Talpa, NM. Died 9 july 1912. Born 11 April 1847, He is survived by his children Josefa R. Mondragon, Eliseo Rael, Teresita R. Martinez an Doloritas R. Romo.

252- Jose Ramon Quintana Age 70 of Guadalupe Colo. Died at 5:00 PM 24 June 1912. Survived by wife, 4 sons and 1 daughter. Names not listed. Buried in Conejos County Colo.

253- Juanita M. Lucero of an advanced age of Ojo caliente, NM. Died 22 June 1912. 3 days ago Juanita M. Lucero's daughter Pieded L. Velasquez died. Survived  by sister Julianita M. Salzar.

254- Luisita M. de Gonzales Age 36 of Segundo, Colo. Died 10 June 1912 at 3:00 PM. She died of a fever just after giving birth to a child that lived for 2 days. She was born in Ranchos de Taos, NM. Daughter of the deceased Narciso Montoya and Ramoncita V. de Montoya. Grand daughter of Julio Vigil, deceased.Survived by Husband Ramon Gonzales; Mother in law Nestora A. Vigil and 4 children.

255- Apolonio Baros of Chamita, NM was killed 26 June 1912 by lighting near Whiskey Peak, Colo. His 2 companions Samuel Young and Brigido Duran were also severely injured and remain in grave condition. Apolonio Baros was buried near the incident site.
