George T. Miller Sierra County, New Mexico

George T. Miller, who is engaged in the conduct of a drug store in Hillsboro, where he is also filling the position of postmaster, spent his youth in Chicago, Illinois, his native city, where he was born August 16, 1866. He came to New Mexico in 1893 from Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he lived from 1879 to 1893, and for two years thereafter was connected with mining interests in the vicinity of Hillsboro, where he has continuously made his home to the present time.

He was afterward engaged in bookkeeping for the firm of Keller, Miller & Company, and when he retired from that position embarked in the drug business on his own account, and afterward bought out the rival store of C. C. Miller. He has continued successfully in the drug business to the present, and has a well-appointed establishment and receives a large patronage from the town and surrounding district, his success resulting from his laudable ambition, indefatigable energy and close application. In 1898 he was appointed postmaster of Hillsboro, which office he has since filled.
