Horace F. Stephenson Doña Ana County, New Mexico

Horace F. Stephenson, for many years probate clerk of Dona Ana county, and one of the pioneers of 1853, is spending the closing period of his life as a resident of Las Cruces. He was born in Mexico in 1834 and in early life assisted his father in a general merchandise store in Texas. He did not come to New Mexico to reside permanently until 1869, when he located at Victoria, Dona Ana County, and engaged in trade. For several years thereafter he was in the stock business.
