Theodore S. Grainer, Bernalillo County, New Mexico

n 1860 Theodore S. Grainer came out and established a weekly newspaper called the Review, probably the first journal in central New Mexico to be published in the English language. He retained control of the Review until its purchase by Hezekiah S. Johnson (also a settler of 1860), one of the pioneer lawyers of Albuquerque, who in 1870, was appointed by President Grant as judge of the Second District of New Mexico.
